On inauguration of a Steering Committee, the Centre will be governed by a Steering Committee made up of the Directors of the Basel Convention Regional Centers in the African region, representatives of the Federal Government of Nigeria,
The Centre expects to receive an annual access Contribution of $100,000 (one hundred thousand dollars) pledged by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Other potential sources of funding include administrative fees from support activities.
